On the occasion of the world premiere of THE END OF SUMMER, Radio Station WAVZ was kind enough to lend us the Wavettes, twelve local nymphets. They were a big hit at LinsleyChit and even bigger at the board room of the Daily News, where they were interviewed by a number of dedicated newshounds, who were mostly interested in collecting phone numbers. In that, they failed.
Meeting Harvey Kurtzman (creator of Mad Magazine) and Gloria Steinem, his young assistant, at dinner and drinks under the auspices of the Yale Record. There were but five Record Officers present. Yes, I saw Miss Steinem again, twice. She didn’t pretend to remember who I was, but was very gracious, anyway.
The PUNDITS would celebrate the end of each school year with champagne and lobster on the steps of Sterling Library. Toasts would be made, jokes told and drinks shared.
